About the documentary movie

Origin of the Project :

For several years now, Plumes & Regards has been following the struggles of Native Americans for the environment (Standing Rock) and has been producing video recordings of interventions by Native American activists hosted by international solidarity associations in France (CSIA-Nitassinan in Paris, 4-Winds in Ornans)
Since 2003, Native American women have initiated symbolic walks for water protection: drawn from the source, raw water is transported in copper buckets, on foot over hundreds or even thousands of kilometers along the rivers. It is then returned to the river where it was polluted, in a symbolic gesture of purification.

This first feature-length documentary film produced by our association is the result of several years' work around the Amerindian festival "Danse avec la Loue" in Ornans (Franche-Comté), named after the local river.

This festival was the occasion of an unlikely encounter between fishermen and activists from Franche-Comté and Amerindian women water protectors, which culminated in a “Walk with the Loue”, to raise awareness among local residents of the need to protect their river. The film presents sensitive and different views of our relationship with water, and the issues surrounding the quality of our river water.

We've finished editing the film (English and French versions) and we'd like to offer it to French and foreign cinemas and television channels. To do this, we need to optimize the soundtrack (15K€), image calibration (8K€) and titling (2K€).
